HOW to extend a background in Photoshop

Every want to get those seamless images in the studio, but yet getting bigger paper is so much more money?

The trick to getting it right in photoshop, is to back sure that none of the subjects legs or arms are outside the background. This will make you have a MUCH easier time extending the background.

If their arm, finger or leg gets out then you will have to do an extra step: hand painting the solid color on with the paintbrush tool. Ugh.

It does take some time to get the editing flow right with the keyboard shortcuts.

I like to use shortcuts as much as possible, to cut my editing time in half.

If you are a PC user, use the short cut alt+shift+ctrl+c or if you are a mac user, use alt+shift+cmd+c and then drag your marquee tool until your background is extended.

See how I do it here on photoshop!
